"The Producers" tells the story of Max Bailystock, a financially restricted theatrical producer who can't seem to make ends meet. Bailystock proposes a money-making scheme to his weasel accountant Leo Bloom - to raise an overestimated amount of money for a Broadway show and then pocket the difference - and together they go for it.
