Set in downtown New York's Alphabet City, "Rent" is a gripping look at life, love, and living with AIDS, through a group of East Village hipsters. Directed by Michael Greif, "Rent" is a moving story with a memorable score. It's one of the newer, instant classics and the subject of a lot of mainstream media coverage and praise. Operating out of the Nederlander Theatre. A terrific and well-schooled cast is the primary reason why the production runs as smoothly and enjoyably as it does. Writer Jonathan Larson won a posthumous Pulitzer Prize for this adaptation of Puccini's "La Boheme." The production won the 1996 Tony Award for "Best Musical."
